Koperasi Gayo Megah Berseri
N 4°36′ E 96°51′ · 1,300 MASL · ACEHVerified86.5
Origin story
High in the Gayo highlands of Aceh, more than 400 smallholder families pool their harvests through Megah Berseri. Volcanic soil and the region's distinctive wet-hulled (giling basah) tradition give the cup its heavy body, cedar and savoury-herb depth. In recent seasons the cooperative has added carefully controlled anaerobic lots to showcase what Gayo can do with cleaner, more modern processing.
